Ole Kirk Christiansen purchases the first plastic moulding machine in Denmark, and the company begins manufacturing plastic toys.
Godtfred Kirk Christiansen had received drawings and samples of Hilary Fischer Page's Kiddicraft blocks (Hilary Fischer visited Godtfred in Billund during 1947 and may have given Godtfred the plans himself)
