|41002 Bunny's Hutch|
41022 Bunny's Hutch is a Friends set released in 2013. This Friends set contains a bunny (rabbit) along with its home, balance beam and a growing carrot, which provides the inhabitant with necessary shelter, exercise area and food. It’s one of the three sets of Friends Animals series 2.
The bunny is a one-pin mould. It has dark blueish grey fur with a patch of white round its mouth, pink nose and blue eyes. Its head can be decorated with a light blue bow.
Its hutch is similar to Andrea’s bunny house but smaller and simpler. It is built on a 4x6 green plate. The lower part is made of 1x2 nougat bricks with moulded brick pattern and a white fence. The walls are made of bricks and arch in light tan with yellow and light pink details. Above there’s an ornamental lavender roof with movable brown panel placed diagonally on hinges.
The balance beam resembles an apparatus used in dogs’ agility training. It is constructed on two 1x2 single pin plates, two light pink 1x1 round plates and 1x4 lavender plate. The beam is made of two 1x2 yellow plate with hinge ends, where matching white plates are placed diagonaly, allowing the bunny to access the main beam.
The carrot is fixed in the middle of a 2x2 round brown plate placed on 2x2 lime green plate.
In this set a new rabbit mould designed for Friends theme appeared in grey for the first time.
- The instruction leaflet pictures an alternative bunny’s home. It has massive back wall made of sculpted bricks, a two-sloped roof, an open front and lavender and pink curvy sides. The carrot is placed inside the construction.
- The double pins on one side of 1x2 tan bricks seem unnecessary but they prevent the sloped roof form inclining too much and they become useful when the bigger construction from all elements of the three sets in the series is assembled.
