42009 Mobile Crane MK II is a Technic set released in 2013. It features the second largest piece count ever (the first is 42055 Bucket Wheel Excavator, at 3,929 pieces) for a Technic set at 2606 pieces, and includes a power functions large motor and a power functions battery box. The set has a 4-mode gearbox on the crane's superstructure that controls the outriggers, hook, extend boom and raise/lower boom. .
