4483 AT-AT was a set released in 2004 as part of the Classic Star Wars line. Included are four minifigures, an AT-AT module, and a Storm Trooper Speeder Bike Module.

Details

The set included two Snowtroopers, a Luke Skywalker (pilot), and one AT-AT Pilot. An AT-AT model, which moveable legs and a detailed body along with a small white and black speeder bike which can be ridden by a Snowtrooper are included as well.

Background

The All Terrain Armored Transport (AT-AT) walker was a major part of the Galactic Empire's army. It was one of the most heavily armored land vehicles in the Imperial Army, not to mention porbable one of the largest, but was also known for its relatively slow speed and poor performance in certain terrains earlier in it's development. AT-ATs were famously used in the Battle of Hoth, as the main offensive vehicles of the Empire.

The set obviously focuses on the AT-AT in the Battle of Hoth, including snow terrain in the background of the box, and minifigures which appeared in the Battle of Hoth.

LEGO's Description

Relive the Battle of Hoth™!
Rebel forces were filled with fear when they saw an AT-AT™ Walker headed their way! The All Terrain Armored Transport Walker was one of the Empire's most formidable units, able to move through dense forests, deep snow and desert sands with ease. This detailed set recreates one of the most exciting moments of Star Wars™: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back! Open the side hatches to reveal mobile troop transports. Includes Luke Skywalker™, speeder bike,AT-AT Pilot, and all-new snowtroopers. No LEGO Star Wars collection is complete without the AT-AT!

Notes

  • This set was the first model of a large-scale AT-AT
  • Also included in the set is a small Hoth Snowtrooper speeder, which is similar to the one in 8084 Snowtrooper Battle Pack. The speeder has never appeared in any of the movies.
