Background[]

In Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu Nya gave the VXL to the new Samurai X after becoming convinced of their worthiness to take on her former alter ego. It was originally seen in the red and gold color scheme associated with Nya's time as Samurai X, but Nya insisted that the new Samurai find themselves "a new color" of their own. Samurai X and the VXL later attacked the dome containing the Iron Doom-both recolored in blue-in order to rescue Cyrus Borg. However, the VXL was put to use instead to help Borg reach the control panel for the Iron Doom's time travel mechanism, driving on the walls and ceiling of the dome to reach the device.

Minifigures Included[]

Notes[]

  • This marks the first appearance of the new Samurai X, and both it and General Machia are exclusive to this set.
  • This set's version of Nya-with a double-sided head-also appears in 70627 Dragon's Forge, while Rivett also appears in 70621 The Vermillion Attack.
