Description
Edit
The set's largest component is the moisture vaporator, consisting of various tan, brown, dark grey and light grey pieces. The main structure is in the middle of a small tan plate and is surrounded by four antennae (one on each corner of the baseplate).

The set also contains Darth Maul's speeder bike, which is made up of seven pieces and has enough space for one minifigure to sit on it. The two minifigures included in this set are Qui-Gon Jinn with his brown hairpiece, brown cape, and green-bladed lightsaber, and Darth Maul with a black hood, cape, and a red-bladed lightsaber (only one blade is included in the set, due to Darth Maul using only one blade of his double-bladed lightsaber in his duel on Tatooine against Qui-Gon).
Background
Edit
Thirty-two years before the Battle of Yavin, the peaceful population of Naboo was invaded by the Trade Federation, under orders from the Sith. The Queen of Naboo, along with some other Naboo citizens and two Jedi, escaped from the planet in an attempt to get to Coruscant (the galactic capital) to ask for the Senate in intervene on the invasion. However, the Queen's ship was damaged during the escape, forcing the party to land on the desert world of Tatooine. There, after acquiring parts to fix the ship, Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn was attacked by a highly skilled warrior dressed in black and wielding a red-bladed lightsaber: the Sith Lord Darth Maul. After a brief duel, Qui-Gon managed to disengage and escape by leaping onto the Queen's ship as it took off, leaving Darth Maul on the planet below.
Notes
Edit
- The set was also included in the Zellers Value Pack.
- The moisture harvester can also turn into a vehicle for Qui-Gon Jinn to ride on, if the set is reconstructed.
