79015 Witch-king Battle is a 101 piece The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies set released in October 2014.

Descriptions[]

It features a small rock, and takes place in Dol Guldur. It has a catapult and a brick-built wall. It also provides a skeleton.

Background[]

The Witch-king of Angmar was the leader of the Nazgûl (Ringwraiths), and Sauron's second-in-command during the Second and Third Ages. Once a king of Men, possibly of Númenórean heritage, he was corrupted by one of the nine Rings of Power that had been given to the lords of men, becoming a wraith in the service of Sauron.

After the first defeat of Sauron in the War of the Last Alliance, the Witch-king lay low for over a millennium but eventually reappeared to found the evil realm of Angmar, where he ruled for hundreds of years until the Númenórean line of kings of Arnor was brought to ruin. The Witch-king was killed at Angmar, but later revived by the Necromancer of Dol Guldur, and he was seen fighting Radagast.

During the Battle of the Five Armies, the Witch-king fought with other Ringwraiths at Dol Goldur. After he was defeated, he fled with Sauron to Mordor, waiting patiently to strike again.
