8549 Tarakava is a BIONICLE Rahi set released in 2001. It contained two Tarakava; one dark turquoise and one blue, with two levers on the back to thrust the arms forward in a punching motion.

Background Edit

In the BIONICLE Universe, Tarakava are fierce underwater predators. They are powerful, and extremely fast in the water, but are easy to trick, being unintelligent Rahi. Makuta controlled the Tarakava on the Island of Mata Nui by infecting their Kanohi, but these have since been removed. There is also a race of Tarakava, known as the Sand Tarakava, that is smaller and less dangerous than the common Tarakava.
