8696 Bitil is a BIONICLE set released in July 2008. Bitil was a Makuta and one of the Mistika. It contains Bitil, with spikes, blades, a Nynrah Ghost Blaster, and the Mask of Duplication. He was shown combining with 8948 Gavla for extra power, but this was just to advertise the connection feature, and was never shown in the story. It is also included in K8688 BIONICLE Mistika Collection.

Time is his weapon! Makuta Bitil uses his Mask of Duplication to draw earlier versions of himself from the past, creating a fierce army of time-traveling warriors! Combined with his spikes, blades and Nynrah ghost blaster, this makes him an unstoppable foe! Combine with 8948 Gavla to soar into battle! Bitil is ready for battle with his spikes, blades and Nynrah ghost blaster that really fires! Stands 8" (20cm) tall!

• Bitil is advertised to combine with 8948 Gavla, although this has no storyline importance.
• Part 61799 comes in 3 sets.
