Description
Edit
The main part of the set is the large cannon manned by the Geonosian Warrior. It is mainly comprised of brown, dark tan and grey bricks. It has a control platform on the rear of the cannon which can tilt up and down and has flick-fire missiles underneath the cannon. These are fired from the back of the cannon. The cannon sits on two stabilizes, one on either side of the cannon. The barrel itself is made of several brown dishes with a long tip at the front. All of the minifigures are new or redesigned. Barriss Offee and the Geonosian Warrior have been redesigned, and Commander Gree and the Geonosian Zombie are new as well as being, so far, exclusive to this set.
Background
Edit
The powerful Geonosian Cannon, or LR1K Sonic Cannon, began being mass-produced for use by the armies of Geonosis after Archduke Poggle the Lesser joined Geonosis to the Confederacy of Independent Systems (CIS, or Separatists). It saw use in the First Battle of Geonosis, that was seen in Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones, when the Clone Army of the Republic was first revealed, and in the subsequent Clone Wars, where it was depicted in the Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated series, and what this set is based on.
Notes
Edit
- This is the second version of the LR1K cannon, the first being introduced in 4478 Geonosian Fighter in 2003.
- Barriss Offee appears with a the same cape model used for Jawas.
