Red Droid (Head) |
Astromech Droids are a set of Lego minifigures based off a brand of droids of the same name in the Star Wars movies. Astromech Droids is a line of droids designed for many purposes, mostly for ship maintenance and piloting. Astromech Droids are considered a type of Lego Minifigure, although Astromech droids share none of pieces used in normal Lego Minifigures. They're are many different types of Astromech Droids, and the first one present in a Lego set was R2-D2. All Astromech droids shared the same body pieces as R2-D2, although they were colored different. In 2008, R2-D2s initial design was changed. Astromech droids are featured in the majority of Lego Star Wars sets in many variations and have appeared in all three Lego Star Wars: Video Games.
