"This room needs some fresh air!"
―Bolobo to Jay in Only One Can Remain

Bolobo is a Ninjago minifigure who appears in Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu.

History[]

Bolobo is a descendant of the Master of Nature, inheriting his powers. He can control all natural things and use them to his will.

In "The Invitation", Bolobo is seen on Chen's boat, making vines grow out of his staff.

In "Only One Can Remain", Bolobo makes a cameo on the ship, talking with Skylor. Later, the he and the other Elemental Masters arrive on Chen's island. When the Tournament of Elements, begins he goes into Jay's room. He uses his staff to trap Jay in his bathtub. Then Bolobo tries to get the Jade Blade on Jay's ceiling. Then Jay surprised Bolobo by turning on his TV. Then Jay electrocutes Bolobo. Jay gets the Jade Blade on his ceiling and moves on to the second stage of the Tournament. Bolobo recovers and gets another blade moving on to the next stage.

In "Versus", Bolobo is selected for one of the upcoming fights, his being against Neuro, the elemental master of Mind. Though the fight starts out in his favor when he uses his staff to trap Neuro in vines, Neuro uses his powers to mess with Bolobo’s mind, releasing him long enough to secure the Jadeblade. Due to his loss, Bolobo is dropped into a booby-trap and has his powers stolen by Chen.

In "Ninja Roll", Bolobo can be seen as working in Chen’s noodle factory after having his powers stripped.

In "Spy for a Spy", Bolobo cheers on Cole during the latter’s escape attempt from the factory.

In "Spellbound", Bolobo is in the gathering with the other imprisoned workers who listen to Cole and Zane’s plan to escape through the sewage pipes, though this plan was foiled after Dareth was thrown in the factory as well. Once the team decided to build a Roto Jet to escape, he began searching the factory for the needed parts.

In "The Forgotten Element", Bolobo and the other elemental masters complete the Roto Jet, and blast their way out of the noodle factory, ending up in the room where Nya and Garmadon are captured. They free the two, and break into Chen’s temple to stop him from turning himself and his followers into Anacondrai. During this battle, his powers are restored when Kai breaks Chen’s Staff of Elements, returning the elemental powers to their original owners. After Chen flees, he and the elemental masters take over the island.

In "The Day of the Dragon" Bolobo sinks Chen’s ferry under Jay’s orders. However, when Chen casts the spell that turns his followers into Anacondrai, they break free and overpower the elemental masters, who are forced to retreat into the palace. They escape the island, stranding the elemental masters there. However, upon seeing Kai and Zane create their elemental dragons, the elemental masters follow suit, creating their own dragons, with Bolobo escaping the island on his Dragon of Nature.

In "The Greatest Fear of All", Bolobo and the elemental masters return to Ninjago, but discover that it hasn’t been attacked yet. They split up to chase down Chen’s noodle trucks, but discover that the trucks were diversions to draw them away from the city, now completely vulnerable to an attack. Out of fear, Bolobo and the other elemental masters lose control of their dragons.

In "The Corridor of Elders", Bolobo and the elemental masters meet at the Samurai X Cave, where they decide to make a final stand against Chen at the Corridor of Elders. He aids in the fight against the Anacondrai cultists, which ends after Garmadon sacrifices himself to open up a door to the Cursed Realm, from which the deceased Anacondrai come out and drag Chen and his followers away, disgracing them for their imitation of them.

After the battle, Bolobo promises to aid the ninja if they ever need his help, a promise he never fulfills because he never shows up in the show after this.
