Requests: Chat Moderator - Administrator - Bureaucrat - Rollback and Patroller

This is Brickipedia's requests for chat moderator page, on which any user may request chat moderator rights. Chat moderators have the ability to kick and ban users from chat who are being disruptive.

If you are considering nominating yourself for chat moderator, please read through the checklist to make sure that you meet the criteria.

To file a request, place the following code under the "current requests" header, above any existing requests.

Requests made on this page are a vote, meaning that if they achieve at least 80% support then they will be closed as successful. Opposers must provide reasons for opposing. Most requests last for around a week, unless there is clear consensus either way after a short period of time.

If a user has been nominated for chat moderator before, add 2 to the end of the topic header. For users with multiple requests, add the respective number of the request. It is also considered good practice to link to previous requests for rights when nominating a user.

I think I should get my moderator status back because I really have gotten to know the rules and studied how to be a successful chatmod. I am more mature than the last time. More organized, and I know my limits. With these rights I will enforce and maintain chat. I know I have conflicts with other users, so if their causing problems I can let another mod deal with it. If there are none I will do what is needed. I really feel more responsible and if you could reply honestly I'd respect that because I want to know how to improve myself and make others around me feel like I'm responsible for the rights. - [Nexus™] is back!

1. There have been innumerable nasty incidents surrounding this user, some of the more recent of which cost him his rights a few months ago. I have seen at least three or four apology blogs wherein he claimed he had changed and was turning over a new leaf, but each time after this another conflict or incident of some sort sprang up. I haven't seen a lot of him lately, it's true, but with his past marred with so many black marks and no huge improvement that I've seen (though I have seen some), it will be a very long time before I am prepared to support a Nuff nomination. --

I really haven't seen much improvement from you since your last big incidents in late September/early October, which had been much on the same track as the events that had your chat moderator rights removed. All I've noticed is decreased activity, more "promises", and less beneficial contribution to the Brickipedia community. You always jump back up from major issues you have saying you've matured or whatever, but in all honesty, every time you've done that, you never improved one bit. Saying something doesn't make it true. From my observation, you haven't improved at all, nor have you given yourself time to improve. I honestly don't think you understand the responsibilities that chat moderator rights carry with them, and I don't think you're capable of holding such a responsibility. Seeing as in your past several apology blogs (all of which had promised that you improved and had matured, yet you continued on the same poor course after each blog) said that you would start editing, and I still have yet to see a consistent amount of effort put into the mainspace of Brickipedia, I don't really have the ability to take your word for anything. Before I can even think about trusting you with such responsibility at Brickipedia, I'd like to see consistent, honest effort put into both the encyclopedia and the community. None of this RPG or sigfig stuff is necessary, and is more of a distraction to yourself and others than it is a benefit. Consistency is a key characteristic of a responsible individual. Seeing as you go from "mature" to having blow-ups, and you make inconsistent contributions to the wiki, I don't think you're close to being responsible enough in my eyes. I really think I should be a chat moderator and I feel that before my requests were weak and I was not mature and ready enough I just wanted a feeling of power but this time I think I could be one I am on chat all the time except for Monday and Tuesday and sometimes weekends and and I feel that my behavior has changed and I am responsible enough for Chat Mod.    Apart from the one that was struck--PCAddicts's "Rude"--the opposes have quite a point. In what way are they disgusting or disrespectful? And trying to make the user look like a fool? Not at all. I'm just giving my observation-reason for why I don't think he should be a moderator; no bias or slander involved. --

I'm on chat almost daily (from 15:00 to 20.30), and when a spammer is on, yeah, you know: Try to say stop, and hoping for a chatmod to arrive. I've wanted to be a chatmod for a long time, but finally decided: "I think the time's now." I am trying to be a friendly user, and I believe I'm so, so it can be more fun to be on chat. • I don't mean offense by this, but I generally put you into the "spammer/noob" category in my head. I forget who I'm talking to half of the time, so I might be thinking of someone else completely different, but in case I am not, Neutral. -LazerzSoH --- Destroy, Destroy, Exterminate!
