LEGO Harry Potter Free Roam is a Free Roam Video Game. Instead of being based on a storyline, this game entirely focuses on a massive hub world.

Explore the wizarding world like never before in the first ever LEGO® video game devoted entirely to free roam! Revisit your favorite locations from Harry Potter 1-7 as any character. Plus, finally get the chance to fly around in the skies whenever you want for the first time! With no levels there's now many more options in free roam. The hub is now extremely detailed with both interiors and exteriors where you can collect 400 gold bricks, 25 red bricks, character tokens, and vehicle tokens.

In this game you start out in 4 Private Drive as Harry Potter and Dudley Dursley, and then work your way through the hub to access more and more content. You gain access to all of London, as well as other far off locations such a The Burrow, and then once you reach the train station you can travel through the wall to platform 9 3/4. There, you can take the Hogwarts Express over to Hogwarts. Or, before that, you could've gone to Diagon Alley. Once at Hogwarts, you can either explore the entire exterior of the castle, the Forbidden Forest, or the largest yet Hogwarts interior. All major interiors include 4 Private Drive, The Burrow, the Train Station, all Diagon Alley shops, Hagrid's Hut, and Hogwarts Castle.

In the hub world you must collect 400 gold bricks, 25 red bricks, and all character and vehicle tokens. You can do this by solving puzzles, completing quests, or winning races.

The characters include every single character seen in all Harry Potter Movies. They all have the same abilities as before, except this time all Quidditch related characters have the ability to fly on their broomsticks.
