Episode II: Attack of the Clones was a theme released as part of the Star Wars theme in 2002 to coincide with the release of Attack of the Clones in theaters. The second wave of the Attack of the Clones line was released in 2003. This movie owns the fewest collection of sets out of all the Star Wars subthemes. Though most were released in 2002, a few others based more on the ending parts were released in 2003, with the exceptions of 7103 and 7163.

Though few, miniature Star Wars sets based on Attack of the Clones have been released. These, however, lasted just as long as the Episode II system sets.

Only one Technic set based on this sutheme has been released, though two from The Phantom Menace were also seen in Attack of the Clones, both droids of the Trade Federation. None others have been released, making 8012 very valuable.
