The set 7161 Gungan Sub was released in 1999 as part of the LEGO Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace subtheme. Included are Qui-Gon Jinn, Obi-Wan Kenobi (Padawan), and Jar Jar Binks minifigures. Unlike its movie counterpart, the sub can separate into three pods.
Notes[]
- This set includes underwater plants and a manta ray.
- The set's boxart shows an Opee Sea Killer faded in the background, but the Manta Ray replaces the monster.
- Instructions include a comic strip, and ideas for other models.
- Unlike its movie counterpart, the Gungan Sub has three separate cockpits and can be split into three separate parts.
