8530 Masks is a BIONICLE set released in 2001. It contains five pieces: A head (comprised of a face and brain), a TECHNIC axle, and two Kanohi masks.
Notes[]
- This set was sold exclusively in Europe and packaged in a polybag, unlike 8525 Masks, which was sold in North America and packaged in a box.
- This set could contain the twelve main masks in their six colours, gold and silver Toa masks, or the mask of time.
- This European version could also contain 14 different rare error "misprint" masks: the Matatu in the six Toa colors, the Ruru in the six Toa colors, the Kaukau in transparent yellow, and the Kaukau in transparent medium blue.
- However, a black Ruru reappeared in 8546 BIONICLE Power Pack and a later in 8585 Hafu, and a red Ruru was available in 7397 BIONICLE Clock, thus technically they shouldn't be considered "misprints".
