Alexia Sinister, also known as Alexis Sanister and other variations, is an Adventurers Dino Island minifigure introduced in 2000.
Description[]
Her hair is black and goes down along the sides. She has a stern face with red lips, along with additional printed hair. Her torso is grey and has a white shirt underneath, along with multiple pouches on her belt. Her pants are black.
Name[]
By the Dino Island subtheme, Adventurers character names were more internationally consistent than in the previous Egypt and Jungle subthemes. However, Alexia Sinister has a number of different spellings and variations of her name across different sources, largely coinciding with her brother's name in the same subtheme.[1]
A LEGO Media document describing the storyline of the Dino Island gives her the name Alexia Sanister, which is consistent with her brother (alternatively known as Mr. Hates) sometimes being called Sam Sanister in the same document.[2] This is the name used in 5778 LEGO Racers 2, along with her brother being named Sam Sanister in the game game. Similarly, while she is not named in-game, the script for 5730 LEGO Island 2: The Brickster's Revenge also names her Alexia Sanister,[3] although her brother retains Mr. Hates as his name.
In LEGO Mania Magazine, the character is named Alexia Sinister, matching Baron von Barron being renamed Sam Sinister in North America.[4] This name is also used in 5002888 LEGO Minifigure Year by Year: A Visual History.
Internationally, the character was more commonly known as Alexis Sanister. In most cases, this matches her brother's name being spelled Sam Sanister, such as in the Australian World Club Magazine,[5] United Kingdom catalogs,[6] German catalogs,[7] and Polish catalogs.[8] However, this is also true for instances where her brother is still named Mr. Hates, such as in a sticker sheet.[9]
According to a user on Lugnet,[10] the character was known as Alexis Gluipstra in the Netherlands.[source?] This likewise matches her brother's name, Alex Gluipstra.
On a Japanese sticker sheet, her name is simply given as Alexia (also translated as アレキサ in Japanese) without any surname, while her brother is still Mr. Hates.[11]
In the Russian Самоделки magazine, she is initially named Пипин Рид, which is actually a translation of Pippin Reed's name.[12][13] This is corrected in a later issue, which translates her name as Алексия Санистер (Alexia Sanister),[14] matching her name from the LEGO Media document. She does not share her surname with Sam Sinister, who is instead named Злодей Сэм (Villain Sam).
In Standing Small: A Celebration of 30 Years of the LEGO Minifigure, her name is given as Alexis Sinister, combining her international given name and North American surname in a reversal of the LEGO Media document. This is one of many errors present in the book. It also makes her family relations unclear, since her brother is named Baron von Barron in this book while Slyboots is misidentified as Lord Sam Sinister.
Background[]
Alexia Sinister is the sister of Sam Sinister. While Sam Sinister determines what treasure they attempt to steal, Alexia is the one who comes up with the plans to do it. She also keeps attempting to make Johnny Thunder join them as a villain, and has tangled with Pippin Reed in the past.[4]
In the Самоделки comics Тайна Острова Вулкан (Mystery of Volcano Island) and Убивимелъный полём (Killing field), Alexia Sinister is portrayed as one of the heroes working alongside Johnny Thunder, Dr. Kilroy, and Mike. However, as previously noted, she is named Pippin Reed in these comics, indicating that Alexia's minifigure was erroneously used to represent the heroic Pippin.
In the Game Boy Color version of LEGO Island 2: The Brickster's Revenge, Alexia Sanister is found in the desert region of Adventurers Island. If Pepper Roni speaks to her, Alexia discusses how much she wishes for Johnny Thunder's Journal.
In LEGO Racers 2, Alexia Sanister appears as a side character on Dino Island. In the PC and PlayStation 2 versions, if the player talks to her, she gives a hint regarding the location of a Golden Brick. In the Game Boy Advance version, she is found near the River Expedition cave, where she boasts that her brother Sam is unbeatable due to his turbo powered engine and then she offers the player the opportunity to join a nearby race.
In Tales on the LEGO Express: The Heist, Alexia Sinister and Rudo Villano are the henchmen working for Señor Palomar as they hijack the LEGO Express and attempt to steal the Gale's Eye diamond. The player has a chance of running into Alexia while navigating the train cars, and she will capture them and throw them back into a closet. Sheriff Wild Wyatt West apprehends Alexia off-screen while the player goes after Palomar.

The document describes her as "dark-skinned" and wearing black clothes, although neither trait is reflected by her physical minifigure.[2]
