31011 Aviation Adventures is a Creator set that was released in June 2013. It includes a yellow, white and blue prop plane, or can alternately be built into a helicopter or a speedboat. The set does not include any minifigures, though minifigures are able to be seated in each model. Each build has a feature that includes Technic pieces (which is the real highlight of the build).

Each build features the use of Technic pieces, although only the helicopter and prop plane use it in a meaningful manner, allowing for some simple "realstic" features, such as the prop plane being able to spin it's prop through sliding the rear landing gear and the helicopter can spin it's blades by "priming" the engine. Some other notable features include semi detailed cockpits, as all three models feature a control panel and some form of control stick, compartments meant to show engine details on the plane and helicopter, and luggage comparments on the speedboat and helicopter.

The design for the helicopter and speedboat appear to be entirely original or may take inspiration from multiple other designs as a hybrid, with same also applying to the prop plane.

The design of the prop plane, however is likely heavily based off the real-world Curtiss SB2C Helldiver dive bomber due to the overall shape of the model and some of it's aesthetic and play features. Certain other elements are based on other similar American military aircraft at the time, such as the Grumman F6F Hellcat, North American T-6 Texan, and the Vought F4U Corsair. These designs are all present throughout the prop plane design, most notably through the retractable undercarriage, tandem seating for two and sliding rear canopy.

The prop plane features a few peculiarities in it's design. Mainly, it is rather large for a vehicle of minifigure scale, but this is likely due to the included Technic functions and to preserve details. Assuming the Helldiver was the main inspiration point, the pilot's seat would've featured a sliding canopy as well, however this would likely be too complicated since the model uses large canopy pieces. This issue is remediated by making it a hinged one, and saving the sliding one for the rear passenger. The tail of the plane is also missing a rudder, and no dive brakes are present on the actual wings. The design also appears to have strayed away from the military portion somewhat and focusing on the plane being used for aerial acrobatics, which results in user-made rear-gunner weapon mounts being difficult to fit.
