Sparky is the guide character in LEGO Racers 2. He gives tips to the player before races and guides the player in hubs. He also allows the player to save their game and explains the bonus games to the player. In addition to that, he gives hints to the player while they build their cars. He appears in the hubs of all the worlds and near all the passageways to the worlds from Sandy Bay. He also makes appearances after winning against single racers.
Background[]
Sparky is the owner of the go-kart track in Sandy Bay so he knows all there is to know about cars and racing. He frequently calls the player "buddy". His last appearance was on Xalax when the player beats Rocket Racer and the player thanks him.
Notes[]
- In the beta version of the game Professor Voltage was envisioned as the player's guide, but he was replaced with Sparky.
- If the player waits long enough at the main menu, a random demo race occurs on one of the Lego Worlds, where Sparky can be seen racing against other racers. The only exception is on a Xalax demo, where Rocket Racer is instead racing against the Rama aliens in his car.
