The White Classic Spaceman is a white variation of a Classic Space Astronaut. It was first introduced in 1978.

A white astronaut named Jenny appears in The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part, while another white astronaut named Spaceman Alan appears in LEGO Legacy: Heroes Unboxed.

Description[]

The classic space man has white legs and torso with a Classic Space logo printed on it. He has the 001 smiley head and wears a white helmet.

Background[]

According to the creator of the Classic space theme and mini-figures, Jens Nygaard Knudsen, the white astronauts were supposed to represent explorers.

The LEGO Movie[]

In The LEGO Movie, the White Classic Spaceman (alongside Benny and the Red Classic Spaceman) is among the Master Builders to meet in Cloud Cuckoo Land. In one of the Emmet Awards contest videos, he is shown to be siblings with Benny and the Red Classic Spaceman.

Spaceman Alan likes to think of himself as a leader to his fellow astronauts. In reality, he's just the loudest. Great to have on your side in a battle. Terrible to have operate the remote control.

  • Alongside the Red Classic Spaceman, they were the first Minifigures to be released in Classic Space sets.
  • Despite the White Classic Spaceman being common, it is hard to find one in used condition that hasn't had its plastic yellowed over time, which is common for old White plastic.
