Comment: use template

Mythrun's made a template, {{YTMusicPlayer}} for those annoying music thingos some of you have on your userpages- would we be able to switch to this instead of having a mediawiki page for each user's music? (I really don't think the Mediawiki namespace should be used for such things). Users also apparrently have the ability to disable these things if they don't want to listen to them if everyone uses this template. Thanks, NightblazeSaber 22:40, January 11, 2012 (UTC)

Support mandatory usage of the template (if you want music :D). I've just removed mine - it's not on YouTube, so it wouldn't work with the template. Jag 22:44, January 11, 2012 (UTC)

Strong Support - One time I visited a userpage, and my volume was almost on full blast. -_- Also, I agree about the MediaWiki stuff. Don't think the MediaWiki namespace is meant for that stuff. Skdhjf(Talk!) 23:21, January 11, 2012 (UTC)
One of the first things I learned as a web designer was never have autoplaying sound on a web page, unless 1) the user is expecting the sound, or 2) the web page is that of a musician, band, composer, etc. FB100Ztalkcontribs 00:47, January 12, 2012 (UTC)

Why don't we disable autoplaying music altogether? FB100Ztalkcontribs 22:05, January 15, 2012 (UTC)

Wait.. Does the Music Player template use code from a MW page? If it does, then strong support for removing it all. Skdhjf(Talk!) 22:07, January 15, 2012 (UTC)
It used to, but Mythrun's system remedies that. I still want to get rid of it, 'cuz it's so frickin annoying... FB100Ztalkcontribs 05:38, January 16, 2012 (UTC)
Question - does the personal .css or global .css take precedence? If it is personal, we could have the global set to hide, and then the personal can be set to show if the user wants to listen to music. Jag 06:02, January 16, 2012 (UTC)
