Garden City Store Opening Set was a LEGO Store Promotional set of an airplane. It was given out at the LEGO Store in Roosevelt Field Mall, Garden City, New York, on April 10, 2010, to the first 250 customers making a minimum purchase of $30.00. It included 88 pieces that built a plane. A plane was chosen as the exclusive set because of the rich aviation history of Roosevelt Field before it became a shopping mall. Charles Lindbergh began his historic solo flight across the Atlantic Ocean on May 20, 1927 at Roosevelt Field in his famous "Spirit of St. Louis" plane which inspired the promotional model.

The first 250 customers to spend the minimum amount on Sunday received a LEGO Store Grand Opening T-shirt. This T-shirt has the LEGO logo and Grand Opening info on the front. The back has a pilot with the promotional set in the background and also includes the name of the store and the opening info.

Throughout the weekend, customers who brought the grand opening announcement post card into the store were given a Limited Edition Buzz Lightyear Promo DUPLO Brick. People were also able to take part in a build of an 8 foot tall Buzz Lightyear model with LEGO Master Model Builder Dan Steininger.
