A Hoth Rebel Trooper is an infantry unit equipped with special gear who fought for the rebellion on the ice planet Hoth. These units are not specifically trained to work in snow, being regular Rebel troopers equipped with snow gear. They appear in the LEGO Classic Star Wars line.

Variants Edit

Throughout the years, the design of the trooper has been changed dramatically. They are:

• Original - Hoth Rebel Trooper with a brown visor as seen in 7130 Snowspeeder.
  
• Goggles - Original Hoth Rebel Trooper with pair of goggles as seen in 4500 Rebel Snowspeeder.
  
• New Face - Same as "goggles" version, but with flesh colored face, as seen in 7666 Hoth Rebel Base.
  
• New Goggles - Same as "new face" Hoth Rebel Trooper with redesigned goggles as seen in 7749 Echo Base.
  
• Redesigned - New face, new helmet with the 7749 goggles, redesigned torso, and new leg color as seen in 8083 Rebel Trooper Battle Pack.
  

Another Minifigure, the named Hoth officer is similar to the "New Goggles" version, but with a new face with a moustache and helmet.

Notes Edit

• Hoth rebel troopers are possibly just regular Rebel Troopers with snow gear, although it is possible that they are from the Wilderness fighters of the 4th Regiment, Alliance Special Forces.
• Over the years they have slowly developed.
• In the set 9509 LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar the Hoth Rebel Trooper features the Hoth Officer's Head.
• The bearded 2013 variant has the same face as Indiana Jones.
