The Ice Vermin is a BIONICLE combiner model introduced in 2005. It can be built with the pieces of 4868 Rahaga Gaaki, 4869 Rahaga Pouks and 4870 Rahaga Kualus.

History[]

The Ice Vermin species was created by the Makuta using Viruses and Liquid Protodermis as one of the Rahi to inhabit the Matoran Universe.

Until the Great Cataclysm, the Ice Vermin were simple and harmless creatures. However, when the cataclysm occurred, their Rhotuka absorbed some of its energy, thus arming the Rahi. The improvement gave the Ice Vermin the ability to attack creatures much larger than themselves when traveling in packs. The Ice Vermin claimed more and more of the city as their territory as time went on. This led to fights with Kavinika and Stone Rats, weakening all three sides and making them easy preys for the Visorak. Whenua made capturing the Ice Vermin a priority, as they could have destroyed what was left of the city if unchecked, or the Visorak could have mutated these creatures into something far more dangerous.

Abilities and Traits[]

The Ice Vermin can launch Rhotuka which gives different effects depending on the substance it is launched at. If the Rahi launches the spinner at the ground, they can cause quakes of their own. But if the creatures launch them at another creature, the target will literally shake itself apart. Some Ice Vermin have been crushed by the weight of falling buildings made by the powers of their own Rhotuka.
