Jango Fett is a minifigure based on the Star Wars bounty hunter of the same name. Jango Fett was known as one of the best Bounty Hunters in the galaxy. He has appeared in only one LEGO set over the years, and has been a playable character in all four LEGO Star Wars Video Games, although save data from the first game must be available to the console to play as him in the second.

Background

Template:CharacterBackground Jango Fett was a human Mandalorian born on Concord Dawn, where his family was killed by the Death Watch of Mandalore for hiding True Mandalorians. Jango was adopted by Jaster Mereel, the Mand'alor. When Jaster's second in command, Montross, betrayed him to the Death Watch in a trap ending with Mereel's death, Jango Fett rose to become Mand'alor.

When the last of the True Mandalorians were massacred on Galidraan, Fett became a bounty hunter. Some of his more notable jobs were the attempted assassination of Padmé Naberrie and tracking Deathsticks to the Bando Gora cult.

Fett was the template from which all of the Clone Troopers were cloned. One clone was adopted by Jango as his son, named Boba Fett who was altered from the rest of the clones, having the growth hormone removed. Boba would later become the best Bounty Hunter in the galaxy, just like his father.

At the Battle of Geonosis, Jango died at the hands of Jedi Master Mace Windu, who beheaded him in the Geonosian Arena with his purple bladed lightsaber.

Minifigure and Accessories

Jango Fett was made of a normal colored torso, legs, and arms. He had a black head, with a picture of a yellow skinned Jango fett on one side. He came with black hair. He also had a helmet with a jetpack attached. Jango Fett's helmet was the same used for Boba Fett, except that it was colored silver and blue instead of green and red like Boba's. He also came with Twin Revolvers. His printing on his helmet and torso are very close to that of the Mandalorians, ironic as Jango Fett was in fact Mandalore, leader of the Mandalorians, until his death.

Notes

Jango Fett is one of the only major Star Wars characters to not have more than one variation. The other is Chewbacca.

Jango Fett from 2002

Jango Fett has appeared in a set from the Episode II subtheme of the Star Wars LEGO Theme.

Jango Fett firstly and only appeared in the sets 7153 Jango Fett's Slave I and 65153 Jango Fett's Slave I with Bonus Cargo Case, in 2002, as part of the Star Wars Episode II subtheme of the Star Wars LEGO theme. The two sets are considered the same thing, as they were released at the same time and shared the same LEGO pieces and minifigures.

He was later released as a LEGO Star Wars Pen. The minifigure included in the set had a very similar appearance to Jango's standard variant; it differs by having unmoveable legs, the head and hands were easier to pull off than standard minifigures, and the helmet/jetpack was a chrome silver as opposed to standard gray.

Because of only being released in one set, he is considered rare, and at one point, Jango Fett minifigures were the most expensive LEGO items on eBay.

Video Games

Jango Fett appeared in LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game. He was the main enemy in Episode II's Chapter 1 and Chapter 3. After completing these levels, Jango Fett could be purchased at Dex's Diner and then used as a playable character in any level in Free Play mode.

In LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy, he could be used as a playable character in Free Play Mode, if the player has a previous game save from LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game and if the player enables characters from the first game to be used in the Cheats Menu. He also appears in LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga.

A redesigned version of Jango Fett made an appearance in 2011 in LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars.
