Knights' Kingdom was a shortlived subtheme of Castle from 2000 with all of its sets introduced only in that one year.
A second theme called Knights' Kingdom was released in 2003. But contentwise there was no connection between these two subthemes other than the general medieval-like setting.

[edit] Details
The Knight's Kingdom line of 2000 signalled a return to a more traditional interpretation of European-style castles. The Knights were led by King Leo, who ruled under the crowned lion crest of his predecessor The Royal King. King Leo and his forces defended against an army of barbarian invaders commanded by Cedric the Bull. King Leo's family consisted of his wife, Queen Leonora, and his daughter, Princess Storm, who wanted to be a knight. King Leo's castle and grounds were decorated with new carved lion head bricks and ornate stained glass window pieces, while Cedric's fearsome battle machines were equipped with spring-loaded projectile launchers.

Two series of mini-sets expanded the range of the Knight's Kingdom line. The first wave was chiefly available as Kabaya Candy promotions, and continued the tradition of save for one set, which was available elsewhere:
The Sets in the later wave each featured a chromed piece of armor or weaponry. The intent was to collect all four sets to equip a Silver Knight with the special pieces. Set 4818 also included a black dragon, a last vestige of the (evidently vanquished) Fright Knights:
[edit] Backstory
Knight's Kingdom centered around a plotline of the evil Cedric the Bull trying to overthrow King Leo and take over the Kingdom. Knights' Kingdom centered on a conflict involving the Lions, led by King Leo, and the Bulls, led by outlaw Cedric The Bull. This theme had many small sets with minifigures, and is the only Castle theme to feature two female minifigs, Queen Leonora and Princess Storm. The Lion shields were inspired by the Royal Knights. The Lions castle was 6098 King Leo's Castle, while the Bulls did not have a castle.
