Class 4

A Lightsaber is a weapon used in the Star Wars line. Lightsabers consist of two pieces; the hilt and the blade. However, other characters like Asajj Ventress have had a different lightsaber hilt piece while retaining the standard blade. Lightsabers are commonly used by only the Jedi and Sith, such as Plo Koon and Darth Maul. Most often the Jedi or Sith and Dark Side supporters only carry one lightsaber, although General Grievous has four lighsabers, one in each of his hands. Darth Maul,Savage Opress, and Satele Shan each have a double-bladed lightsaber; Pong Krell uses two double-bladed lightsabers. In the years before 2005, the lightsaber hilts were made with a chrome polish. Then, up until 2008, lightsaber handles were medium stone grey. After 2008 and into the present, the hilts were a combination of both, which was a reflective metal tint. Palpatine's lightsaber's hilt in 9526 Palpatine's Arrest is golden.
