[edit] Details

LEGO fansites are usually run by AFOL's (Adult Fans of LEGO), however, some children and teens have created their own fansites. Some fansites, such as Lugnet.com are very large, with a large number of members, and posters on forums. [1]

Some Lego fansites are simply personal webpages, made with a small group of people to discuss their Lego info. Sites such as Ad964fah's LEGO fansite Are quite common for small communities within the main LEGO community. Many sites have options to login as a member of that site, or even buy Lego sets such as Cloud City. Some LEGO fansites even focus on trying to make rants about a particular LEGO product or service.

[edit] Communication

Many fansites contain a forum for communicating everything from building techniques, to the newly released Spongebob Squarepants LEGO sets. Some fansites contain a form of instant messenger,to have live discussion with other LEGO fans or members on the particular site. However, on low-traffic websites, it is sometimes hard to impossible to talk live with another member.
