[edit] Background

Obi-Wan Kenobi was a Jedi character from the Star Wars series. Many variations of him have been sold with Lego Star Wars sets, mainly of him during the prequel Trilogy. He was the Jedi Apprentice of Qui-Gon Jinn, until his master's death on Naboo by Darth Maul. Soon, however, Obi-Wan was granted permission to become a Jedi Knight, and train Anakin Skywalker. After his search for the bounty hunter, Jango Fett, who tried to kill Padme Amidala, he was captured, along with Anakin and Padme on Geonosis. Soon, the two were facing Count Dooku, both injured however, Kenobi slashed at the side of the leg. But thanks to Jedi Master Yoda, both were rescued.

Afterwards, Anakin became a Jedi Knight, and Obi-Wan was put on the Jedi Council. Both fought together well during the Clone Wars. Soon, however, after rescuing the Supreme Chancellor Palpatine, and killing General Grievous, Kenobi watched and fought the newly appointed Darth Vader. After defeating him and nearly killing him, he brought Luke Skywalker, at that time an infant, to the Lars family for raising. He carefully watched over the boy for many years. When Luke had been attacked by Tusken Raiders, Ben, his cover name, revealed to Luke that he was Obi-Wan Kenobi, a Jedi Knight and friend of his father. He then received an alarming message inside R2-D2, forcing him to find a good pilot to get them to Alderaan. When on his way to the destroyed world, he, and the others aboard the Millenium Falcon, were brought into the Death Star. Their, however, Ben Kenobi let himself be killed by Darth Vader.

The Jedi, though, was able to guide Luke in his spirit to Yoda, along with telling him the truth about Anakin Skywalker, also known as Darth Vader, Luke's father. Soon, with the spirits of Yoda and Anakin, he watched happily the victory celebration of the Rebellion against the Death Star II.
