Background Edit

In the BIONICLE storyline, this part is the Kanohi Kaukau, the great mask of Water Breathing. It enables the wearer to breathe underwater for a finite amount of time. The transparent Red, Green, Brown, neon red and clear variants represent the other Toa Mata's Kaukaus, the Metallic Gold variant represents Gali's golden Kanohi that is crafted to look like an Kaukau but has the powers of six masks, and the Metallic Silver variant represents any Kaukau found by any Toa on Mata Nui before being worn and adopting a colour.
