Plant Monster is a minifigure released in October 2015 as part of 71010 Minifigures Series 14.
Description[]
The Plant Monster is a "Semi Intelligent" Venus Fly Trap. It is said to have been the pet plant of the Monster Scientist. The head of the plant fits over the minifigure's head, and has leaf molding on the back. The mouth is pink inside, and has a light pink tongue on the lower jaw. The person inside can be seen with a frightened expression. His torso is green with lime green vines printed on it. These vines have green spots and thorns. His arms and hands are lime green, and he holds two large vine pieces. The central vine on his body curls around his right leg and onto his foot.

"“Om nom nom nom.”" Lurking in gardens, bushes, and anywhere else that’s green, the Plant Monster bides its time and then springs out to swallow up passers-by with a gulp and a happy smack of its leafy flytrap mouth. Oddly, it isn’t actually a carnivorous species (though it doesn’t seem to know that), and as long as it gets plenty of sunlight and regular watering, it just spits its victims out again after a day or two – smelling slightly of lettuce, and with a very strange story to tell! |
Appearances[]
Notes[]
- He is one of the only Series 14 monsters that seem to be frightened. This is because the screaming face represents a person being eaten by the Plant Monster, and not the monster itself.
- The minifigure resembles the Ivy creatures from the survival-horror game series Resident Evil.
