LEGO City is a LEGO product theme, which began in 2005 with the 7237 Police Station and the 7240 Fire Station. Since then, there have been over 50 sets released in the City theme (as of January 2007) including the 7892 Hospital and the massive 7905 Building Crane.
It has been argued that LEGO City is a subtheme of the LEGO core-theme: LEGO Town, which began in 1978.
