Finally, printed legs!

This has got to be one of the best Battle Packs ever made! I'd rate this second best with 8014 Clone Walker Battle Pack being first. This set shows a major improvement for the Star Wars theme with the return of a wider scale use of printed legs and hips (Only the legs are printed in this set though).

The minifigures are the best part of the set with new torso and helmet designs. The Bomb Squad Troopers are stunning with a completely orange moulded helmet with white and black printings to resemble the visors etc...

The Clone Trooper Commander is also stunning with green printings which could be used to make a Commander Gree minifigure.

The ARF Trooper on the other hand is the big let down about this set. This minifigure features a great helmet which is a brand new mould. The printed visor is precisely in line with the eyes of the minifigure wearing the helmet. The down side is that the torso is that of a standard Clone Wars Clone Trooper and so therefore has no extra markings to show rank or battalion to which he belongs to. He is also the only minifigure in the set with no leg printings.

Speeder Bike (BARC)

The Speeder Bike is basic in design and is simple to build. It features no rare or unique pieces. There are some flaws though in the design because when a minifigure is sat at the controls if it were to fire at the enemy it would shoot the handle bars off.

Here are some pros about this set:

  • Printed legs to make the minifigures more realistic.
  • New blaster pistols with scopes.

Here are some cons about this set:

  • The ARF Trooper hasn't got printed legs.
  • The Clone's visors are smaller than the previous designs.
