Sandy Cheeks is a SpongeBob SquarePants Minifigure introduced in 2008.
Description
There have been two Sandy minifigures released one from 2008 and another from 2011.
2006 variation
Sandy has a squirrel-like head, surrounded by a transparent clear bubble. Her torso printing is that of a spacesuit. The head is brown at the top and has too rounded ears it has two big white eyes with black eyelashes and pupils. She has cream coloured cheeks and a pink nose a smiling face with white bucked teeth. She has a white torso with a zip and a logo of a yellow and brown acorn in a orange square in the top right hand corner. She has grey arms and legs and white hands.
2011 variation
Sandy is identical exept her torso has a tinner zip and the acorn has a yellow background par orange.
Background
Sandy is a land squirrel scientist. She comes from Texas, but moved to Bikini Bottom to study its inhabitants, and eventually chose to stay permanently. Since then, she has made many friends, especially SpongeBob SquarePants, and Patrick Star. Since Sandy breathes air, she has to wear a special suit and helmet while underwater, and lives in a substantial "Tree-Dome" populating with air.
