Does anyone know if the term "Minifigure" is copyrighted? - User:Creature114

Does anyone know if the basic original minifigure design is under copyright and or trademark? I know the basic brick design is out of trademark but it seems copycat sets are also using a similar minifigure design. I also see designs, t-shirts, posters using a minifigure type figure that are for sale in various places. Eg http://blog.glennz.com/evolution/

just to clarify, the terms are never copyrighted. The logos and the actual pieces are.12:39, May 17, 2012 (UTC)
