Lego Lord Of The Rings 2014

  • Will The LOTR theme continue into 2014?

      Loading editor
    • Most likely, seeing as the whole theme was released to more or less coincide with the release of the Hobbit trilogy. Since There and Back Again is out in 2014, it would make sense seeing as the whole Tolkien's Middle-earth theme is very successful.

        Loading editor
    • Desolation of Smaug sets have been announced, (one has preliminary images.) Another seems to be a battle pack, and a couple are based around Gandalf's side story.

        Loading editor
    • The Hobbit sets are shown as a 2014 release but they'll be released on December 1st like the last wave (which were shown as 2013 sets).

        Loading editor
    • I haven't seen anything pertaining to LOTR, though that does make sense. Hopefully we will :)

        Loading editor
    • I'm hoping to get one or two battle packs (either a Gondor and Mordor and/or Rohan and Isengard), Edoras (that would be awesome), Osgiliath, Bree (at least the Prancing Pony), and the Battle of the Pelennor fields. And they could make a USC Minas Tirith. Also, they could make a Hobbit UCS Erebor set.

        Loading editor
    • The battle of Pelennor Fields or Bridge of Khazad Dum would be great. It would be nice to see the Balrog or a Fell Beast, and definitely the Witch King and Merry & Pippin in armor (although Pippin wouldn't be in either of those. He should've been in the Black Gate set.) As far as the Hobbit goes, I'd hope for a huge Lonely Mountain set with Smaug, Bilbo, and all thirteen dwarves, which they could put out next year for There And Back Again.

      Yeah...

Well, I can't ever get most of these obscure names straight, (m like Osgiliath) but so far, these sets are kind of just okay. I might get Amon Hen (because I need merry to complete my fellowship). And Minas Tirith could be cool. I really liked the Whitch-King showdown in the movie, but it sounds a little pricy. I'll see if I win a contest or something and get lots of money, and if Super Heroes, The Hobbit, and a few Star wars beat me to it,

It's in the Two Towers and the Return of the King; Osgiliath is the ruined city on the River Anduin outside Minas Tirith. Faramir leads the Gondorian army to defend it against Mordor and the Nazgul.

I know! We should have gotten these figs: Gandalf, Pippin, two Gondorian soldiers, Gothmog, two orcs, and Denethor. Or we could get it like Helm's Deep, with one like the Uruk-Hai Army, with maybe two Gondorian soldiers, two orcs, and an main orc, like Guritz (We should have gotten him in the Pirate Ship Ambush).

    • I think the Citadel is the White Tower, the other three walls were mentioned as not part of the Citadel. Then again, the minifigs aren't confirmed so we may get Denethor and Gothmog yet.

        Loading editor
    • To build Minas Tirith it would be cool to get a wall with 2 Gondorians, 2 orcs, and Guritz. We could also get a White Tower with Denethor, 2 orcs, 2 royal guards, and Pippin or Faramir in armor. We could also get the plains of Pelennor or the gate, and we should get Gandalf the White and Gothmog in it, plus a handful of other soldiers (if being Pelennor, we should get like Theoden and Eomer or Gamling, or maybe Eowyn).

Nothing is confirmed yet. I'm also disappointed about Merry, but he and Pippin are part of the reason Boromir got killed, so one (if not both) had to be included. I prefer Pippin, so I'm glad we get him in armor. One of the Uruks in the Amon Hen set is probably Lurtz, one of the orcs in the Osgiliath set is probably Gothmog (I'm hoping), and honestly, Minas Tirith is probably the hilight. While Denethor would be nice, I don't think he's necessary, as the set seems to be focusing on the battle, in which he was not present. I'm glad the Galadriel set is inexpensive, but I don't see much they could do with it anyway. It's nice seeing more ROTK sets, but TTT would also be nice (officially there's only two). Maybe 2015 if the theme continues.

There's a (sort of) helmet in the Castle theme; it's a hood that can be found on the Blacksmith and Elderly Peasant in Medieval Market Village. I just used Blu-Tack to secure the skull as there's a lump in the hood that can accommodate it.

A paths of the dead set with frodo, sam and gollum and a faragorn set with ugluk, rohirim, orcs and uruks, grhisnak and a fire. Also battle packs of different regions of middle earth. Like a gondor battle pack with two rangers, faramir and two soldiers, a mordor battle pack with diferent orcs and gothmog, and for the hobbit too like a moria battle pack with moria orcs one with helmet, other a little shorter and azanulbizar version of Azog. Also a LOTR miniseries!!

Please, that function is so easy. All you need are some long axels, baseplates and supports. And, they should really make a marsh of the dead set with some water, Sam, a corpse and some rabbits.

1.New Times : Perhaps a game about how Middle Earth now would look like. That would equal to add a whole new dimension to the lego games . And if Lego can still invent a whole new adventure in Middle-earth or another continent of Arda . Together with Peter Jackson

2.Tolkien Saga / The Fourth Era : It's still very nice to the time following The Lord of the Rings to place in a game. What happened to Frodo after he made it to the Grey Havens ?

3.The Old Stories : Follow the story of The Silmarrion and Numenor and even older stories in Lego. For example, when Melkor figure , more Istari and Valar . And Numenor is also very cool . Add perhaps with some new features to the Silmarren .

4.The War of The Ring : A game with a leading role for the War of the Ring . Go deep in the Last Alliance and the first war against Sauron , and of course the war in Lord of the Rings . It would be fun to make , with emphasis on strategy. This game a sort of Total War Maybe you can even deeper into Gondor and Rohan , and the armies of Mordor .

5.Arda , the Game : A game that is set on the Open- World . Trek through the Grey Havens , The Undying Lands and the rest of Arda . Discover secrets you never actually touch played here . Create your avatar and explore the world .

6 : Middle-earth , The Game and The Background sesies : First , find the story you did not see in The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings , the video games . Eg The Bad Side , and the influences of the book. And of course , make your avatar and explore Middle-earth .

7.The DLC :... With all the DLC packs and some nice extras.

8: The Connecting: This game allows you to link together all the other nine games, so you have a big Arda game. In this game it might be to put there. Cute characters from other themes Eg. Batman, Emmet, Laval and Anakin Skywalker. There must also be a function that allows you to design and even your levels can alter existing levels. So you can create something really cool.

A wishlist I made is Sauron with Woody arms and legs, Sam in his FOTR outfit with the vest, Merry in Rohan armor, Pippin in Gondor armor, Eowyn in her normal Rohan clothes, Theoden in normal clothes, Bilbo, Faramir, Denethor, Gothmog with a special arm, Aragorn in his Helm's Deep attire, Galadriel, old Gloin, the Witch-King, a twilight Ringwraith, and Rosie Cotton.

    • CMF?

Totally for Eowyn, Galadriel, and Rosie, by the way!

    • Collectable Mini-figures. They made a series for The Lego Movie and The Simpsons, so why not wish for LOTR?

    • OH. That's brilliant! Now I'm hoping LEGO'll do that!

I really want them to make an Eowyn that isn't a microfig. I mean, it's not like it'll be that hard to make her a figure. All they'd have to do new-wise is make a new torso and headpiece. Maybe not even the headpiece!

    • The head piece used in the game looks similar to a pre-existing one

    • Which?

It kind of reminds me of Hermione Granger's, but it doesn't look quite, for want of a better word, mature enough, I guess.

    • Kind of like one of these, which I wouldn't mind them using

      WIN 20140624 011745

    • Cool! They'd need to be flesh-colored, though, to keep up with the trend from the series. I can see them using the top one.

    • Still no pics... are they even making any? :P

I hope they are making new sets I don't want it to be discontinued.

    • I don't get why Fili and Kili are in it. Weren't they back in Lake-Town with Tauriel and Bofur at Bard's house?

Maybe he is in the set but just not in the shown part because we don't know how much of the set is cut off.

I don't think so, because all the figures were in one group. But given the size, it should have at least a couple more figures

    • Does anyone else think that Smaug's wings look like they are hinged so they can fold inwards like in the movie?

      They are fabric.

    • Neat-o.

I still don't get it. Why are Fili and Kili in there? I mean, they're back in Lake-Town during that part of the movie. If they make a Lonely Mountain set, put Thorin in there! I mean, he is the King under the Mountain!
