According to the TRU website, 2012 sets from the themes City, Ninjago, and Dino, are being sold in stores right now. If the website is correct, this will mark the earliest sets from the next year have ever made it into stores.

The LEGO Group has finally released a mini-site (access it here) for the much anticipated theme, Dino. The website is, as yet, very small (although that will probably be remedied soon), having only two pages. The first page is only accessed the first time someone visits the site, and features a "puzzle" that must be solved to access the second page. The second page is also rather spare, featuring only a repeating gallery of images telling a loose story (which can only be accessed if you type the number 638 into the keypad on the right side of the screen), and "real time" footage of a forested area.

LEGO Universe, the popular (although apparently not popular enough) massively multiplayer online game created by the LEGO Group, is coming to an end next year, according to a news article on the LU website, which runs:
We are very sad to announce that LEGO Universe will be closing on Janurary 31, 2012. This was a very difficult decision to make, but unfortunately LEGO Universe has not been able to attract the number of members needed to keep the game open. We are thankful to have had the opportunity to share this adventure with an amazing community of players. We hope you will continue to enjoy LEGO Universe for the last few months. As a thank you, if you are a paying subscriber on December 31, 2011, we will provide you the full game for the final month for free. Again, we want to thank the fantastic community of players who made LEGO Universe such a vibrant, fun and creative experience.
The shutdown of the game will also affect 115 employees, who will be released from their jobs. However, all those affected will, apparently, be "offered assistance in finding new jobs inside or outside the LEGO Group", which means that there is no coming back. Once it's shut down, it's down. So, if you play LU, you had better make these last few months count....
