On this historic day, 11 years ago I had no idea what was going on. Just 3 years old going on about my buisness in preschool. My mom had unexpectadly came very early to pick me up from there. I do not remember what happened after that. Fast forward a couple of years, and I did know what happened on that day. About 3,000 people had been killed by hijackers who took over 4 seperate planes with mere boxcutters was something back then I couldn't grasp my mind around, til a few years after that. It is one of the most memorable things to happen in the history of the world, and is commonly known as "The day the World stood still". This was the start of the long and perilous journey to kill the man responsible for this, Osama bin Laden. It would take a decade to find kill him in a raid in Afghanistan, of which all of President Obama's top advisors told him not to do it, but did, and came out successful. The US along with the help of many countries in this war would have many succsessful moments during the events, including the discovery and execution of Saddam Hussien. But not every moment was good. Around 40,000 good soldiers,(moms, dads, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, nieces, nephews, friends, wives, husbands) lives would be taken. All to find this one thorn is the world's side. He is no longer here. He will no longer take any more innocent lives, however his followers still will. No matter what will be done to his remaining followers in the course of history, it will not be enough to heal the wound caused by what had happened 11 years ago. Ground Zero, the Pentagon, and the crash zone of Flight 94. All of it will always be remembered by those who were alive on the event. Many generations from now, it may all be forgotten. Just like events through history have been forgotten from a generation to the next one. And now for a moment of silence for all of those who have died on the inital day of the event, and those who have fought the protect American Freedom.
Thank you for taking your time to read this and God bless if your families have suffered through all of this. :)
