[edit] Background Information

Yoda's first variation.

Yoda was a 900 year old Jedi Master, who lived during the Clone Wars and the Galactic Civil War. He was known for being on the Jedi Council for many years. He trained Count Dooku, before his fall to the dark side, as well as many younglings on Coruscant. He fought in the Clone Wars, until the Clone troopers betrayed the Jedi. Before going into exile, he fought Emperor Palpatine, but lost. He then went into hiding on Dagobah. He later trained Luke Skywalker, but his training was interrupted when Skywalker left after having a frightening vision of the future. Before he died, he told Luke that he had to face Darth Vader, and that Vader was truly his father.

Yoda appears in all the Star Wars films except Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope.

[edit] Variations

The minifigure has two variants- a standard version, a slightly changed standard version, and a new Clone Wars version.

[edit] Regular Variation

Yoda has so far been featured in two variations, and one slightly different variation. His first variation was found in the first set he was released in, 4502 X-wing Fighter. In this variation he had a new mold head that is colored all green, including his eyes. His ears are also extended. A special leg piece was made for him. This leg piece was smaller than a standard minifigure leg piece, and could not be folded for him to sit down. This same variation was used again in the set 7103 Jedi Duel.

He appeared in all three Lego Star Wars Games, Lego Star Wars: The Video Game, Lego Star Wars: The Original Trilogy, and Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga with his regular variation, the only difference being tat his eyes are colored.

Yoda's 2nd variation. His appearance has been updated to resemble his new appearance in the new T.V show.

[edit] Accessories

Yoda often came with some accessories. In his normal variation he often came with a cane or a green lightsaber and/or cape. In his new Clone Wars variation he has only came with a green lightsaber.

[edit] Sets

Yoda has appeared in sets from the Episode II: Attack of the Clones, Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, and Star Wars: The Clone Wars subthemes of the Star Wars Lego Theme.

The set he first appeared in was 7103 Jedi Duel, in 2002, as part of the Empire Strikes Back subtheme. He came with a green lightsaber, in his first variation.

He next appeared in the set 4502 X-wing Fighter, in 2003, as part of the Empire Strikes Back subtheme. He came with no accessories this time around.

Next he appeared in the set 7260 Wookiee Catamaran, in 2005, as part of the Episode III subtheme. He came with a cane and no lightsaber.

His most recent appearance was in the set 8018 Separatist AAT, in 2008/2009, as part of the Star wars: The Clone Wars. He came with a green lightsaber.

[edit] Trivia

  • In LEGO Star Wars: The Video game, by jumping with his lightsaber withdrawn, Yoda could suddenly be floating in a little hover car. This hover car never appeared in any of the video game's sequels.
